------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. UN 1st Peace Medal in UNMIT
I have been selected for the service of the United Nations in the year 2006 as a UN Police officer. This is significant for me as I got the opportunity to serve the nations as well as to get exposed to the international community, there to work with Police officers from 86 countries. This certificate was issued for the service as a peacekeeper in the United Nations Mission in East Timor (UNMIT).
2. Commendation for the service as a Trainer
This is the commendation received from the administration of the United Nations Mission in East Timor. I have faced an interview for the selection of the trainers of the mission out of many applicants and got the highest score from the test and was selected as a firearms trainer. I have trained Police officers of all ranks in East Timor for shooting fundamentals and practical shooting sessions with the team. This was a great experience as well as an achievement in that I was able to learn the local language of the country which is called "Tetum" and able to conduct classes in the same language. This gave me recognition among Police officers from other countries and I realized the importance of a language as well as the importance of the teaching profession.
3. Contribution to the UN Secretary Generals' visit
This is the appreciation letter issued to the UN Police Commissioner for being a member of the team planning and organizing the event of the visit of the United Nations Secretary-General Mr. Ban Ki Moon to the UNMIT. 5. Commendation for the service at the planning & monitoring
Since joining the United Nations Mission in Liberia in 2014, after the induction training, I was selected to the planning office of the mission headquarters to work with the UN Police Commissioner. I served as a planning officer, induction trainer, database manager, and team leader in monitoring visits in the field. This certificate of commendation was given by the UN Police Commissioner for the excellent service as a team.
